Holland resident’s small home part of new movement
In Rudy Vedovell’s new house, “You don’t feel cramped — or at least I don’t,” — all 200 square feet of it.
Maximizing space is, obviously, the biggest factor when it comes to designing a “tiny home.”
“The stairs are my favorite detail of the whole house,” Vedovell said.
In a bid to Scandinavian design, the space under the stairs forms open cubby holes.
“It’s got a nice, modern edginess to it.”
His house in Holland, by the way, is a decidedly average 1,700 square feet. Vedovell lives in Holland most of the time, but visits friends in Portland, Ore., a couple times a year. He wanted to buy a vacation home there.
