Pink tiny house in the Boise neighborhood: Sleeping in Portland
Had I thought about it, I might not have packed a lime green shirt to stay in a pink painted house. But in Portland’s Boise neighborhood, color is waved like a flag.
I smile at a woman wrapped in a leopard print jacket and sizzling silver pencil pants. I compliment the man in a blazing Hawaiian shirt mowing his lawn in front of his sage-color Craftsman with burgundy railings. I stop to admire the bicyclists streaming down Williams Avenue, their heads crowned with a kaleidoscope of helmet hues.
